Adrian De La Cruz, of Perris, died at 5:45 p.m. at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, the county coroner’s office said.

The accident occurred about 5 p.m. near the corner of Rider and Evans roads, police said. De La Cruz was found still straddling his Yamaha motorcycle on the road when the ambulance arrived.

The driver of the car, Giovanni Macias, (I blocked it out… I couldn’t stand the sight of seeing my last name in this article… And NO, there is no relation…) of Perris, was not injured, sheriff’s officials said.

A traffic reconstruction team was still investigating the accident, according to sheriff’s officials, who did not release any more information about the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone with information may call the Sheriff’s Department at 951-210-1000.”

“Just last week, this young kid pulled me aside after class and just picked my brain about, well, CrossFit stuff. Things that he could do outside of our “normal” Strength and MetCon WODs that could benefit him. He wanted to get stronger, to get faster, to just generally improve his general physical fitness and health. He also told me, that one of his goals, was to enter his first CrossFit competition within 6 months. I told him that I would come up with a program that could help him work on Skill Work, not “Extra Credit” MetCons, just Skill Work on Movements or Lifts that I felt could benefit him. Matter of fact, they’re still saved on my laptop.

Going to War changes people. Enough said about that…

Going to War with a Rank that means you’re responsible for other people’s lives… The feeling of losing a Brother or Sister under your Command is something I wish none of you ever have to feel. I know there is nothing I could have done to prevent this tragedy from happening, but I still feel like I lost one of my Own… One or OUR Own…

The Marine Corps was and always will be my family.

RC CrossFit and every Athlete who has, who continues and who will in the future walk into those doors, I consider family…

And I know I speak for everyone when I say… My most heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Adrian Delacruz…

Rest In Peace Brother, you will be missed… Thoughts and Prayers out to the Delacruz Family…

‘Nuff Said…”
